Usher - Usher Refuses To Sell Baby Pictures

R+B star USHER has blasted stars who strike million-dollar deals for exclusive baby pictures - insisting he would never use his child to make money.

The singer was rumoured to have attempted to sell pictures of his five-month-old son with wife Tameka Foster, Usher Raymond V.

But Usher is adamant he would never follow in the footsteps of new parents Jennifer Lopez, Nicole Richie and Christina Aguilera, all of whom appeared on magazine front covers holding their offspring in return for a large sum of money.

Usher has instead posed for free on the cover of a special Father's Day edition of Essence magazine.

He tells the New York Post's PageSix.com, "In no way would I ever pimp out my child for money. I am livid that people talk about my child.

"What makes you a man more than being a father to your child? I recognize I gave anonymity away when I became an artist, but to have people try to paint a horrible picture of what's so beautiful - it's obvious someone is trying to stop something so beautiful."

Lindsay Lohan - Lohans Battle Over Kids

LINDSAY LOHAN's father MICHAEL has re-opened his divorce from DINA because she is "refusing" to allow him to see his children.

Michael claims his former wife has reneged on the deal they made when they split to allow him to see his two youngest children, Ali, 14, and Cody, 11.

In papers filed in Nassau County, New York, Michael accuses Dina of breaching a contract.

He tells New York Daily News, "I gave her the house, the furniture, the dogs, the bank accounts, the $200,000 (GBP100,000) she owed me, just to see my kids.

"She doesn't bring them to see me. I haven't seen my kids in two months. She brought them to Vegas for her reality show, then to California. Before that, she missed 15 out of 29 appointments. She breached the contract."

Michael took action after Dina failed to show at an arranged meeting on Tuesday (20May08).

He adds, "She went to (the) David Letterman (show) She brought Ali. She never showed up or sent the kids. The taping finished before our appointment.

She doesn't care. She does what she wants.

"If I was a maniac, I could understand it. I don't drink, I don't smoke. I work, I go to the gym, I go home. I just want to see my kids."

A spokesman for Dina was unavailable.

Elimination brings "American Idol" to final four

NEW YORK (Reuters) - "American Idol" fans sent contestant Brooke White packing on Wednesday after her performance of two Neil Diamond tunes, leaving four contenders to battle it out on the hit talent show.

White, 24, from Mesa, Arizona, who now lives in Southern California, received the fewest of the more than 45 million votes cast, based on her performance of "I'm a Believer" and "I Am ... I Said," with famously blunt judge Simon Cowell saying he "really, really hated the first song."

White's elimination leaves Syesha Mercado, 21, as the only woman still competing to win the show's seventh season. Mercado barely dodged elimination herself this week, scoring fewer votes than any of the other remaining finalists.

Still singing along with Mercado are Jason Castro, fan favorite David Archuleta and the increasingly popular, at least with the judges, David Cook.

Diamond appeared on the show singing "Pretty Amazing Grace" from his new album. Diamond said he was "very pleasantly surprised" by White's version of "I Am ... I Said," which he called "a difficult song to sing and make genuine."

Still, he said the judges were "generally right on" in their evaluations of the finalists on Tuesday.

White seemed consigned to her fate before the announcement, telling host Ryan Seacrest, "We'll stay as long as we can" when she and Mercado were pegged as the week's lowest finishers, but told they had to wait for the verdict.

When Seacrest announced her fate, she nodded her head, saying, "Yep," before breaking down in sobs. Her voice broke during an emotional sendoff, in which she reprised the song that got her booted from the show.
